BOTICA Financial Group was founded over 25 years ago. Originally, the managing general agency regrouped some financial security advisors and distributed products of a limited number with insurance companies under their old name NILA. Over the years, the management team has changed, the philosophy and mission of the company have also substantially changed and as a result the organization has grown to become one of the best general agents in Quebec, serving a growing number of advisors and offering the widest choice of insurance companies.

In May 2003, the company changed its name to BOTICA Financial Group. In Provençial French, the word “Botica” means boutique, faithfully reflecting the group’s reputation of offering highly specialized products with a personalized service « becoming a financial boutique ».

In November 2003, the creation of Botica Capital Management Inc. added the direct distribution of mutual funds services offered by Botica.
